Job Title:

Business Operations Lead

Role Overview:

Responsible for leading the execution of day-to-day operations across multiple teams. This includes owning Service Level Agreements, building Standard Operating Procedures, streamlining cross-functional handoffs, and driving measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Scheduling: Manage team pods, create rosters, capacity plans, and shift coverage to ensure efficient operation.
  • Process & SOPs: Design, document, and enforce SOPs for each stage to ensure smooth operations.
  • Pipeline Throughput: Monitor daily dashboards to identify bottlenecks and improve time-to-onboard, submissions/day, interviews scheduled, offer rate, and join rate.
  • Training & Upskilling Operations: Coordinate curricula, trainer calendars, candidate cohorts, assessments, and certification tracking to ensure readiness for placements.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Ensure accurate documentation, agreements, background checks, and system access to maintain zero-defect records.
  • Quality & Compliance: Run QA checks on resumes, submissions, and communications to uphold data privacy and audit-ready records.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with HR, Finance/Collections, and Sales to facilitate smooth handoffs.
  • Automation & Tools: Champion CRM/ATS hygiene, automate routine steps, and standardize reporting to improve efficiency.
  • Reporting & Reviews: Provide daily/weekly MIS, root-cause analyses, corrective action plans, and leadership updates.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years in operations management within staffing/recruiting, edtech/training, BPO, or services environments.
  • Strong program/project management skills, data-driven decision-making, and a focus on execution.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM/ATS (preferably Salesforce), Google Sheets/Excel (lookups, pivots), and collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, WhatsApp Business or similar).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work night shifts and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven setup.
Nice to Have (Big Plus at Company):
  • Salesforce familiarity (Reports, Dashboards; Flows/automation exposure).
  • Experience with e-signature and document workflows, and basic finance handoffs.
  • Understanding of hiring terms & visas (OPT/CPT, H-1B/EAD, W-2/C2C).
  • Exposure to training operations (cohort management, assessments, LMS).
  • Process improvement frameworks (Lean/Six Sigma mindset).
