Job Opportunity: Leading a Global Firm's Indian Studio

  • This is an opportunity to lead the launch of a global firm's flagship Indian studio.

The Studio Director will be responsible for establishing and leading our Mumbai office, working closely with the Europe-based leadership team to develop and implement an expansion-focused business plan for the Indian market. This includes managing key accounts, obtaining and maintaining commissions, developing new business opportunities, and mentoring team members to achieve their professional goals.

Key responsibilities include inspiring and promoting the company culture, identifying new business opportunities, managing resources and workflow between offices, contributing to business growth through consistent profits on sustainable fee turnover, and reporting monthly accounts through the company's global practice management systems.

Additionally, the Studio Director will contribute to the company's visibility, reputation, and thought leadership/design leadership by publishing articles, posts, or speaking at professional platforms and events.

For this role, we are seeking an experienced architect who has a strong background in commercial sectors such as Data Centres, Retail, and Hospitality. The ideal candidate should possess excellent portfolio management skills, client relationship skills, and the ability to manage and grow a studio/business unit.

Requirements include a minimum of 15 years of experience in architecture, prior leadership roles, and international client organization exposure.

Key skills and qualifications for this position include design excellence, operational management, and business development skills. A resident director may also be required if the Mumbai entity takes the form of a Limited Liability Company.
