Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic vision aligned with our mission, driving initiatives to enhance our national and international reputation in legal education and research.
    • Promote an inclusive, dynamic, and forward-thinking academic environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
  • Academic Excellence
    • Oversee the design, development, and periodic review of curricula to ensure relevance and rigor in legal education, fostering an innovative learning environment that leverages technology and pedagogy.
    • Promote a culture of academic excellence through faculty development and student engagement, ensuring students receive a world-class education.
  • Research and Development
    • Encourage and support faculty in undertaking impactful legal research, building partnerships with industry, government, and international institutions for research collaboration.
    • Secure grants and funding to sustain and expand research activities, driving innovation and entrepreneurship within the institution.
  • Administration and Operations
    • Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient management of resources and adherence to academic policies, standards, and best practices.
    • Lead the recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation of faculty and administrative staff, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the institution.
  • Industry and Community Engagement
    • Establish strong ties with legal professionals, law firms, and judiciary to enhance industry relevance and provide students with valuable networking opportunities.
    • Foster internships, placements, and career development opportunities for students, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen careers.
  • Student Success and Welfare
    • Promote student-centric policies and foster an engaging academic and extracurricular environment that supports student well-being and success.
    • Ensure support systems are in place for academic advising, mentoring, and career counselling, providing students with the guidance and resources needed to achieve their goals.
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Bar Council of India (BCI) standards, maintaining the highest level of academic integrity and quality assurance.
    • Represent the institution in university committees, external forums, and accreditation processes, promoting our values and reputation within the academic community.
    Requirements
    • Ph.D. Degree in Law from a reputable and recognized University in India or Abroad.
    • A minimum of 15 years of academic or professional experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles such as Director.
    • Proven track record in teaching, research, and administrative leadership, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.
