Environmental Health and Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees, visitors, and the environment.

About the Role
  1. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive EHS program that meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. The incumbent will investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and identify root causes to implement corrective actions.
  3. They will conduct regular inspections of plant safety and working conditions, and provide training to employees on safe work practices, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.
  4. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will also coordinate with external agencies, such as the Telangana State Pollution Control Board, Inspector of Factories, and third parties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Provide training to employees on EHS topics.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and third parties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
