We are seeking a skilled mechanical design engineer to join our team.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes, including laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and finishing.

The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, rendering) and able to prepare development drawings, exploded views, and assembly drawings.

A strong understanding of tolerances, GD&T, welding symbols, and material specifications is also required.

The role involves working closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, as well as assisting in the development of new products and customization of existing designs as per client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks for sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Develop fabrication drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and technical documentation for production.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Assist in the development of new products and customization of existing designs as per client requirements.

Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred specialization: Sheet Metal / Design).

Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal design and fabrication industry.
