Investment Risk Manager Job

About the Role:

  • As an Investment Risk Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing and mitigating potential risks associated with investment portfolios.
  • This includes evaluating exposure to various risk factors, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and supporting the implementation of risk limits in systems.
  • You will work closely with the investment team to ensure that risk considerations are incorporated into portfolio decisions.
  • Your role will also involve preparing detailed risk reports for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze potential risks including market, credit, operational, liquidity, and regulatory risks.
  2. Evaluate investment portfolios to assess exposure to various risk factors.
  3. Implement risk mitigation strategies and support in implementation of risk limits in systems.
  4. Support in implementation of various Risk Projects.
  5. Collaborate with the investment team to ensure risk considerations are incorporated into portfolio decisions.
  6. Implement solutions to ensure the investment of the model portfolios for the individual clients is effective and outliers are flagged for review and action to be taken.
  7. Ensure that all risk management activities adhere to relevant regulations and internal policies.
  8. Review the evolving regulatory changes and implement the same as appropriate.
  9. Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  10. Develop risk models and stress-testing scenarios to measure potential impacts on the portfolio.
  11. Continuously monitor market conditions, investment trends, and risk exposures.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as FRM, CFA is a plus).
  2. 7–10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within an investment management or financial services organization.
  3. Candidates with an Investments / Analytics background are suitable.
  4. Prior experience in Wealth Management, Mutual Funds, PMS, or Alternate Investments is preferred.
