Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned procurement specialist to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of raw materials and essential supplies for our bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and procuring all raw materials and supplies required for bakery production.
  • Managing inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and minimizing wastage.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Conducting market research and staying updated on industry trends and price fluctuations.
  • Analysing procurement data, forecasting demand, and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards for all sourced materials.
  • Collaborating with the production and finance teams to align procurement with business needs.
  • Monitoring and improving supply chain processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Preparing reports on purchasing, costs, and inventory for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, sourcing, and procurement practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good understanding of raw material markets and pricing trends.
  • Knowledge of market analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and procurement software/tools.
