Job Description

The role of a Mechanical Engineer is to oversee the design, development, and sustenance of mechanical systems and products.

This includes executing projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards and product requirements.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading and prioritizing Engineering change management activities within a structured process framework by collaborating with team members.

Furthermore, they will prepare 3-D models, drawings, bill of materials, manage engineering change requests and other support required for product-sustenance.

In addition, they will ensure timely closure of activities related to SAP, ECM with end-to-end responsibility.

Monitoring KRA and building process and productivity improvement are also key aspects of this role.

Finally, the Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing Teams to prioritize and execute on Change management tasks BOM creation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited institute, college or university.
  • At least 3-5 years of industrial experience in product design, sustenance, detail designs and related documentation.
  • Proficient in engineering CAD applications like Creo, Solid Works, AutoCAD - Mechanical and its integration with suitable PLM tools like Windchill, and ECTR.
  • Well-versed in sustenance activities, including engineering change orders or management processes and documentation.
  • Team player with good interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
  • Bonus points for knowledge in ERP system SAP Material Management module.
