Job Opportunity: Senior Test Engineer

\

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our growing Quality Assurance team.

\

The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of QA processes, and a proven ability to be an independent contributor who can unblock themselves and peers.

\

Main Responsibilities:

\
  • Automated Testing:\
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for both UI and backend using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.\
    • Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.\
    • Write and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

  • API Validation:\
    • Write automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs.\
    • Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.\
    • Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.

  • Agile and CI/CD:\
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).\
    • Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.\
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.

  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:\
    • Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently.\
    • Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.\
    • Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:\
    • Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.\
    • Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.\
    • Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.

Key Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in software testing.\
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python.\
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services (AWS, Azure, etc.).\
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).\
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing test environments.
