Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulics and Irrigation System Design Professional to join our team.

  • Design and develop hydraulic infrastructure projects, including dams, barrages, micro-irrigation systems, canal networks, and related structures.
  • Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Water gem, or similar hydraulic modeling tools to create detailed drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including survey, GIS, and geotechnical teams, for integrated designs.

Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in hydraulics and water resources engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing detailed drawings and BOQs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design tools.
  • Preparation of hydraulic modeling, flow calculations, and hydraulic grade line diagrams for irrigation and water management projects.
  • Supporting the preparation of DPRs (Detailed Project Reports).
  • Participating in client meetings, site visits, and review discussions with stakeholders.

Requirements

Main Requirements

The following qualifications and skills are essential for this role:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, with specialization in Hydraulics or Water Resources Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the design and drawing of dams, barrages, canals, micro-irrigation systems, and related structures.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, irrigation techniques, flow analysis, and pipe hydraulics.
  • Familiarity with WRD, CWC, Govt Guidelines, and state irrigation department practices.
  • Excellent technical documentation, report writing, and communication skills.
