Job Description

We are seeking an expert in machine learning engineering to drive the development and success of our application. This role requires end-to-end ownership of the project, with a focus on creating innovative ML models and optimizing software engineering aspects.

Your responsibilities will include model deployment and optimization, debugging performance discrepancies, ensuring feature synchronization, optimizing memory and compute resources, and scaling ML systems for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced ML models to address complex business challenges and drive value.
  • Enhance model performance by identifying and resolving performance gaps with creative and effective solutions.
  • Leverage unique data sets to work with proprietary unstructured and structured datasets, applying advanced NLP techniques to extract insights and build impactful solutions.
  • Optimize application scaling to efficiently utilize compute resources and meet high customer demand.
  • Address technical debt by proactively identifying and proposing solutions to reduce tech stack inefficiencies.
  • Drive the ML lifecycle by engaging in all phases, from problem framing and data exploration to model deployment and production monitoring.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to future product vision.
  • Lead ML projects by scoping and planning effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of significant hands-on industry experience with machine learning, NLP, and information retrieval systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Proven experience building ML pipelines for data processing, training, inference, maintenance, evaluation, versioning, and experimentation.
  • Demonstrated effective coding, documentation, collaboration, and communication habits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Bonus Requirements
  • Experience developing search or recommender systems.
  • Experience working with databases and other datastores.
  • Experience working with machine learning libraries/frameworks for Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration.
