About the Role

This pivotal position demands an expert who can delve into real-world healthcare data and unearth actionable intelligence that transforms lives. Working closely with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and governments across Australia and globally, you will leverage advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning to propel high-impact projects forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pharmaceutical products from development through launch and post-market monitoring via sophisticated analytics to discover trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct market sizing, cohort analysis, risk stratification, and KPI modelling to inform product and marketing strategies.
  • Develop automated data pipelines in Dataiku for efficient reporting and faster insights.
  • Create interactive dashboards, visualisations, and executive presentations to convey findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to translate analytical insights into scalable solutions that align with our platform vision.
  • Partner with regional analytics teams to share best practices in predictive modelling, machine learning, and advanced SQL querying.
  • Mentor junior team members to promote analytical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial Patient Analytics, commercial data analytics, data science, or advanced manipulation of real-world healthcare datasets.
  • Expertise in SQL (advanced joins, window functions, aggregations), Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost), and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Excel VBA/Macros, Power Query).
  • Strong background in healthcare analytics using datasets from providers like IQVIA, OPTUM, and KOMODO.
  • Experience with predictive modelling, machine learning, risk stratification, and product uptake forecasting.
  • Skilled in dashboard development, storytelling, and executive-level presentations.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Economics).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex analytics as actionable business recommendations.
