Senior Motion Graphics Designer Job Overview

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile motion graphics designer to lead our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and storyboard visual concepts for various media, collaborating with clients or creative teams to understand project requirements.
  • Design and animate graphic elements, typography, characters, and visual effects in 2D or 3D using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Select and animate text effectively to convey messages and create visual interest.
  • Synchronize animations with voiceovers, sound effects, and music to create a cohesive and engaging final product.
  • Combine motion graphics with live-action footage and perform post-production tasks using software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Ensure all motion graphics align with client brand guidelines, including color palettes, typography, and visual style.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, animation techniques, and software advancements.
  • Prepare and export animations in various formats optimized for different platforms (web, social media, broadcast, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of design principles: layout, composition, color theory, and typography.
  • End-to-end project execution ability, from concept development through delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, animation, and video production.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering value to the team.
  • Proficiency in animation principles: timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, etc.
  • Mastery of industry-standard software: Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro is a must, and knowledge of other software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and PowerPoint is highly valued.
  • Creativity and artistic vision: ability to develop original and engaging visual concepts.
  • Attention to detail: ensuring accuracy and visual consistency in all aspects of the animation.
  • Communication and collaboration skills: effectively conveying ideas and working well with others.
  • Time management and organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn: the field is constantly evolving, so staying current is crucial.
