
Cybersecurity Leader

We seek a skilled cybersecurity professional to fill the position of Assistant Vice President - Cyber Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance of operational controls, implementing and managing security controls, and identifying lessons learned to protect the organization from potential cyber-attacks and respond to threats.
- Responsibilities include management of security monitoring systems, identification of emerging cyber security threats, management and analysis of security information and event management systems, triage of data loss prevention alerts, and management of cyber security incidents.
The ideal candidate will have experience with proficiency in audit documentation and reports, SIEM technologies, analysis and response of detected security incidents, knowledge of auditing standards and frameworks, incident response skills, and ability to identify attacks and malware.
Other highly valued skills may include perform SIEM monitoring and cyber security alerts creation process, collaborate with audit teams and stakeholders, support audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, support risk assessments and internal control evaluations, develop and maintain audit documentation and reports, provide support for audit activities, understanding of risk management principles, familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, knowledge of internal control frameworks and testing procedures, understanding of traditional ITIL concepts Incident, Change and Problem management, understanding of Cloud Security Principles, understanding of Open Source network analysis tools, and Open-source intelligence tools (OSINT), in-depth knowledge of the Cyber Kill-Chain, Intelligence-driven defence and security architectures, ability to help write concise reports based on complex data with accuracy, brevity, and speed, appreciation of End Point security products including firewalls, Anti-virus and network access control.
This role is focused on strategic leadership, team management, and collaboration with other functions/business divisions. The successful candidate will lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Key qualifications include demonstrated leadership behaviours, expertise in risk management and compliance, ability to consult on complex issues, and capacity to engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources.
The role involves working closely with other areas of work, engaging in complex problem-solving, communicating complex information, influencing or convincing stakeholders to achieve outcomes, and taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
Assistant Vice Presidents are expected to demonstrate clear leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard.
Accountabilities:
- Operational Controls: Management of security monitoring systems, identification of emerging cyber security threats, management and analysis of security information and event management systems.
- Cyber Security Incidents: Triage of data loss prevention alerts, management of cyber security incidents including remediation & driving to closure.
