Lead Software Developer

About the Role:

The Principal Programmer position offers a high-level programming support role that spans multiple projects, clients, and therapeutic areas. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced programmer seeking to utilize their skills in database manipulation, complex logic implementation, and data analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Extract insights from large datasets and generate informative reports to facilitate analyst exploration of real-world healthcare data assets.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated algorithms, leveraging various data sources to create comprehensive analysis data sets with a keen focus on accuracy and data quality.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in R and SQL programming languages.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Oncology databases such as Flatiron and COTA.
  • A solid understanding of Oncology-specific analyses, including Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, and statistical modeling techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong statistical component.
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in SAS statistical programming.
  • Proficiency in database programming using SQL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the OMOP common data model.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
