Job Title: Printer Specialist

We are seeking a skilled printer administrator to oversee and support our print environment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in desktop support and be knowledgeable about printers, plotters, and printing from a mainframe.

  • Manage and work on printers, print servers, configurations, installations, validations, and troubleshoot issues related to the print environment.
  • Install and upgrade software, troubleshoot hardware issues related to printers, and handle printer authentication and badge issues.
  • Monitor and manage enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX for print job routing, auditing, and failover.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Familiarity with printers, plotters, and Printing from a Mainframe.
  2. Mainframe >>> VPS >>> VPSX Print Job Routing.
  3. Document Scanning and Queue Management.
  4. Software installation and upgrades activities.
  5. Badge Authentication and Badge Issues Resolution.
  6. Printer troubleshooting issues like driver installation, mapping of printers, print queues, and new printer requests.
  7. Hardware Issue Resolution related to Printers.
  8. Print Service Management on Server.
  9. Patching activities on print servers and validations.
  10. Leading Vendor Calls and Technical Discussions.
  11. Weekly Highlights and Monthly Reports.
  12. Ticket Handling and RCA Analysis.
  13. Creating SOPs and Reviewing Existing Ones.
  14. Managing Print Drivers and Firmware Upgrades.
  15. Operating System Knowledge (Windows Server/Unix server).
