Breakwater Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Breakwater Engineering Specialist to spearhead the design, planning and construction of port and marine infrastructure in Trivandrum.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a civil engineer with 10+ years of experience in coastal and marine engineering to contribute to the growth of key coastal infrastructure in the region.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Construct Breakwater Systems: Lead the design, planning and construction of rubblemound, vertical and hybrid breakwaters to safeguard port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget and quality standards.
  • Coastal & Marine Engineering: Utilize expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors and consultants to ensure the project's smooth execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
