Job Title: Polarion Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of a Polarion Expert.

About the Job

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled individual to work as a Polarion Expert in a challenging and dynamic environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end requirements, validation, release management, and safety & product documentation within Polarion.

The ideal candidate will have expert-level Polarion configuration skills, combined with strong domain expertise in systems engineering principles and methodologies such as the V-model. Experience working in SAFe-based agile teams is also highly desirable.

Your key responsibilities will include configuring and tailoring Polarion ALM to support project-specific requirements, test planning, validation, release, and documentation workflows. Additionally, you will design and implement processes, workflows, traceability matrices, and custom templates aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and company-specific quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and tailor Polarion ALM: Support project-specific requirements, test planning, validation, release, and documentation workflows.
  • Design and implement processes: Align with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and company-specific quality frameworks.
  • Lead the rollout of Polarion solutions: Provide training, documentation, and end-user support.
  • Develop and maintain test concepts: Oversee test operations and provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Polarion tool-related issues.
  • Manage safety-relevant documentation: Ensure regulatory traceability for compliance in automotive/battery systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Follow the SAFe framework (10-week Program Increments).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Polarion Expertise (Mandatory):
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Polarion configuration, workflow implementation, and process customization.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and manage project templates, custom fields, scripts, permissions, and dashboards.
    • Experience integrating Polarion with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, Doors, Teamcenter, or other ALM/PLM systems.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model methodologies.
    • Experience working in the automotive and/or battery system development sectors is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434.
  • Agile & Communication Skills:
    • Proven experience in SAFe-based agile teams.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to train, support, and mentor international, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Polarion Solution Architect or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of battery systems, e-mobility, or autonomous vehicle development life cycles.
