Job Title:
Functional Geometry Reviewer

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically proficient professional to join our engineering team in the role of Functional Geometry Reviewer. This critical position focuses on ensuring that both 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings meet the highest standards of geometric accuracy, functional validity, and design intent.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed functional geometry reviews of 3D CAD models to validate fit, form, and function in assemblies
  • Identify and report inconsistencies, errors, or missing information in design data that could impact downstream manufacturing or assembly processes
  • Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve design issues and improve drawing quality
  • Support change management processes by reviewing drawing and model updates during engineering change requests


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field
  • Experience in CAD design, drawing creation, and review, preferably in automotive, off-highway, tractors and harvesters, aerospace, or heavy machinery industries
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and experience applying ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and drawing release processes
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
