Procurement Leader Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our procurement team in the manufacturing of foam chemicals, fabrics, and associated raw materials for mattresses, sofas, and other products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement process for foam chemicals, fabrics, and associated raw materials from domestic and international suppliers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost savings and operational reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and logistics to secure advantageous terms and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (production, planning, finance) to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and efficient supply chain flow.
  • Monitor market trends for foam chemicals or fabrics; identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved sourcing.
  • Coordinate with customs clearance and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of chemical or fabric properties, market dynamics, and logistics.
  • Exercise excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration and vendor relations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in purchase and procurement, preferably with experience in leading teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including internal departments and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications.
