We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Consultant to join our team at Allstate. As a Mainframe Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, selecting, and implementing infrastructure solutions to support business needs.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industry best practices and the ability to apply subject matter expertise to work with less experienced employees to anticipate and prevent potential problems.
Key Responsibilities- Use subject matter expertise to work with less experienced employees to anticipate and prevent potential problems
- Demonstrate problem management skills for handling major incidents and perform trending and analysis on incident data to identify potential problems
- Apply strong understanding of industry best practices to design complex processes and solutions aligning to meet business goals and strategy
- Complete high complexity tasks to create, revise, implement automation solutions for Infrastructure monitoring and alerting, including requirements definition, scripting/programming, and testing
- Provide focus and rigor around high availability incidents driving the incidents which are user impacting, high profile and/or multi-application through to resolution, while communicating the status (outages and returns to service) to leadership
- 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
- 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
