As a Senior Observability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable synthetic monitoring platforms across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building observability platforms, driving adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

  • Design and implement scalable synthetic monitoring platforms on AWS.
  • Lead the adoption of APM with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Develop strategies for cloud telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.

You will work closely with security teams on compliance, threat detection, and governance related to monitoring. Required skills and experience include:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
