Medanta is constantly growing and expanding its healthcare services to new geographical areas. To support this growth, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager for our building projects team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our hospitals and clinics, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This will involve working closely with architects, interior designers, and contractors to finalize plans and ensure ease of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalize material of construction with consultants.
  • Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
  • Prepare comparative statements of various bids from different contractors.
  • Assist the Project Director in negotiation and finalization of contracts.
  • Supervise construction activity to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Supervise contractors and inspect work done by contractors to comply with engineering designs and drawings/instructions.
  • Review other designs and drafting and related work performed by staff to assure it is technically correct and appropriate.
  • Coordinate and approve the preparation of material specifications and construction standards.
  • Coordinate work with and receive approval of other departments including writing contract documents for construction.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and controls to include all outside contractors bids, budgets, and schedules.
  • Participate in selection, orientation, and training employees, maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Assist Project Director in formulating and implementing both short-term and long-term departmental strategies in tune to the organizational objectives.
  • Encourage the staff of the department for superior performance on the job, raise morale, and increase productivity.
  • Involves in performance evaluation of self and the departmental staff.
  • Identifies the KRSs/KPIs and training needs of his subordinates.
  • Responsible for imparting/organizing functional training for the subordinates.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced project manager with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in project management, specifically in interior fit-outs or related construction projects.
