Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Puducherry

A site engineer is a critical professional responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion.

They work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and construction workers to ensure that projects progress efficiently, meet quality and safety standards, and adhere to project plans and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work on-site to ensure it meets quality and safety standards, as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel on the construction site.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to allocate resources efficiently.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance, resolve engineering issues, and make decisions related to construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Site Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and change orders.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve unexpected issues that may arise during construction, offering practical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Client Communication: Keep clients informed about project progress, address their concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to verify work quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: BTech/ BE Civil Engineering
  • Experience: 0 to 4 years of experience
  • Proficiency in construction management
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
