Certification Test Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Certification Test Engineer to join our team at Aptiv. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for certification test activities for Android Auto, CarPlay, and Alexa.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with SW/SYS teams on test cases and test requirements.
  • Lead the full test cycle for Android Auto testing and CarPlay testing.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MFI and Google Android Auto portals.
  • Utilize test specification and testing tools to ensure successful testing.
  • Provide comprehensive test reports with defect details.
  • Participate in SCCM meetings and contribute to the development of test plans.
  • Gain experience in vehicle testing.

Your Background

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in an engineering discipline (IT/EE/EC/CS/Instrumentation/Robotics).
  • Experience with test tools such as FACET, CarPlay Test App, ATS Utility, Android Auto - Pre-Certification Test Suite, and Alexa Pre-Certification Activities (Acoustic Testing, BVT, AQT Testing).
  • Proficiency in defect tracker usages (logging issues) such as Jira, Polarion, SharePoint, and Confluence Page.
  • Experience working with Infotainment products as a test/validation engineer.
  • Experience working with Scrum teams.
  • Skilled in using DOORS, Polarion, or other requirement management systems.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
