Job Overview

The role of a Building Management Systems Engineer is to oversee the execution and management of Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS) for large-scale infrastructure projects. This includes managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of central chiller plants, air handling units, cooling towers, pumps, valves, piping, and controls.

The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that project milestones are met as per schedule, coordinating with vendors, OEMs, consultants, and internal teams to achieve execution targets.

  • Project Execution & Coordination: The engineer will oversee the end-to-end project execution and manage the IBMS systems, MEP services, and central chiller plants.
  • Maintenance & Operations: The engineer will ensure the smooth operation of the IBMS systems and perform maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission IBMS systems, including central chiller plants, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, valves, piping, and controls.
  • Manage the integration of IBMS platforms with chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical panels, and safety systems.
  • Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS codes, NBC, and international standards.
  • Perform technical and design reviews of MEP and IBMS design drawings, BOQ, equipment specifications, and shop drawings.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, valves, and utility systems.
  • Hands-on experience in IBMS integration (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks protocols).
  • Familiarity with electrical panels, PLC/DCS, VFDs, UPS, DG, and power monitoring systems.
