Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. You will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes.

You will also showcase your expertise by managing suppliers' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The work model for this role is LI-Onsite.

This role contributes to the Motion business NEMA Motors division in Rajkot, India. Your main responsibilities include driving approval processes for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services as applicable. You will collaborate with other functions' experts, involving activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites.

You will also lead in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services. Working together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary is also a key responsibility. Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base is crucial.

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Hands-on experience and the right attitude are what count. Someone who enjoys supplier management activities from qualifications and audits to performance monitoring and knows how to drive results is ideal. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus, but more importantly, you're eager to learn and apply these approaches to make processes better.

A strong cross-functional communication skillset with the ability to influence and align both internal and external stakeholders is essential. Technical understanding of castings is helpful but not essential as long as you have the desire to learn and grow in this area. Frequent travel - 50-70%
