Seeking a Senior Manager Intellectual Property to lead the growth and management of our intellectual property portfolio. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for patent development, prosecution, and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the company's intellectual property portfolio to ensure optimal protection and timely filing of patents.
  • Work with the Global IP Head, Research and Development, and Portfolio teams to identify products for introduction into the development grid and devise effective product development strategies.
  • Identify patentable inventions and provide guidance on patentability.
  • Draft patents, freedom to operate reports, infringement and validity analysis, risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • File and prosecute inventive solutions to build significant wealth of intellectual property.
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party scientific and patent publications.
  • Provide IP-related inputs to support legal agreements and negotiations.
  • Partner with other legal and business functions to provide strategic advice and strategy in connection with M&A transactions, licensing agreements, research collaborations, adverse proceedings, and litigation activities.
  • Manage patent, trademark, copyright, and related issues.
  • Maintain appropriate record architecture and content of the company's inventions, know-how, trade secrets, and registered intellectual property.
Requirements:
  • PhD or postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Desirable to have an additional specialization in Intellectual Property.
  • Work experience of at least 13+ years in a reputable global pharmaceutical company with team-handling skills.
  • Experience in product IP clearances, patent drafting and prosecution, and ancillary areas in a pharmaceutical organization.
  • Litigation, litigation support, and licensing experience are most desired.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment.
  • Experience with regulatory exclusivity and interplay with IP exclusiveness.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
