Position Overview:
At Apeejay Stya Education (Svran Foundation), we seek a highly qualified Structural Design Professor to join our esteemed faculty in the School of Architecture and Planning. This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished educator to shape the next generation of architects by delivering high-quality academic lectures, guiding research projects, and actively participating in institutional activities.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core subjects, including structures, surveying, specifications, and estimation, to undergraduate students in compliance with the AKTU syllabus. They will develop engaging course materials, evaluate student performance through assessments, sessionals, and examinations, and ensure timely submission of grades and records to the AKTU portal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Delivery:
  • Teach core subjects, including Structures, Surveying, Specifications, and Estimation, to undergraduate students in compliance with the AKTU syllabus.
  • Develop and deliver engaging course materials, including lectures, presentations, and laboratory exercises.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, sessionals, and examinations, ensuring timely submission of grades and records to the AKTU portal.

Student Mentorship:
The professor will guide students on their academic journey, advising thesis projects on large-span structures, tall buildings, and innovative architectural designs. They will make complex structural concepts relatable and applicable to architecture students, fostering a strong theoretical and practical understanding.

Administrative and Institutional Support:
The professor will maintain and upload attendance records via Moodle and AKTU portals, prepare and submit award sheets, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and timelines. They will contribute to the smooth functioning of classes and institutional events as needed.

Research and Development:
The professor will engage in scholarly research in the domain of structural design and contribute to the academic community through publications and conferences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. or an Integrated M.Tech. in a relevant branch of Structural Engineering or Architecture with first-class marks or equivalent in at least one degree. A Ph.D. in a related field is desirable. Prior teaching experience in a recognized Architecture program (B.Arch. courses) is preferred. Industry experience in structural design and its applications in architecture will be an advantage.
