Industrial Automation Engineer

We are driven to implement cutting-edge Industry 4.0 solutions in factories globally.

Our team designs and develops smart, affordable AI + sensor systems that work effectively on the shop floor - from measuring steel bars flying out of a rolling mill, to spotting defects in plastic pipes, to preventing theft in dispatch yards.

This role involves working on various projects that require stepping into new environments with unique problems to solve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping with laser line profilers, displacement sensors, ultrasonic probes, and cameras
  • Supporting hardware selection and design mounts and enclosures that can withstand heat, vibration, and factory grit
  • Integrating with DAQ tools, PLCs, and basic OpenCV scripts
  • Pilot deployments across customer sites in India, troubleshooting, and iterating quickly when challenges arise

What Success Looks Like:

  • Designing and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Providing usable data from complex factory setups
  • Quickly resolving issues and keeping pilot deployments moving
  • Collaborating with customers to showcase our systems' effectiveness in their environments

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sensors, automation, or machine vision
  • Knowledge of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, or machine vision systems
  • Ability to design practical mechanical setups (mounts, fixtures, enclosures)
  • Comfortable with Python/OpenCV/DAQ basics and PLC connections
  • Willingness to work in high-heat/industrial environments and flexibility to travel for deployments
  • Based in India, with optionality for full-time work for the right candidate
