Climate Change Research Leadership Position

This leadership role involves guiding research initiatives under a climate program, focusing on policy and regulatory issues of climate change. The successful candidate must have expertise in managing teams, developing programs, and building presence in the climate change domain.

Experience in conducting research and authoring reports related to climate mitigation, adaptation, and loss and damage is essential. Additionally, engaging with national and international governmental and non-governmental organisations on policy and project implementation is crucial.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and understanding of climate-related laws, policies, and governance structures, particularly in the Indian context. Strong analytical and research skills, including publications and substantial research outputs, are also required.

We seek a highly skilled individual who can undertake and guide systematic research and analysis to produce high-quality documents relevant for policy engagement and action.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead research initiatives under the climate program, focusing on policy and regulatory issues of climate change.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current climate governance frameworks and identify gaps in legislation, institutions, and implementation.
  • Develop actionable recommendations for policy reform and institutional strengthening to support ambitious climate action.
  • Required Competencies:
