We are seeking a seasoned Programme Lead to spearhead our climate change initiatives. This leadership role involves guiding research efforts, managing teams, and developing strategies to enhance our presence in the climate domain.

As a Programme Lead, you will be responsible for leading research initiatives under the climate programme, focusing on policy and regulatory issues of climate change. You will assess the effectiveness of current climate governance frameworks and identify gaps in legislation, institutions, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop actionable recommendations for policy reform and institutional strengthening to support ambitious climate action.
  • Guide the development of long-term roadmaps on climate change action, including action plans at the sub-national levels (state, district, city, as required) along with team members.
Required Competencies
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of climate-related laws, policies, and governance structures, particularly in the Indian context.
  • Proven analytical and research skills, with publications and substantial research outputs.
  • Ability to undertake systematic research and analysis to produce high-quality documents relevant for policy engagement and action.

This leadership position requires expertise in guiding research, managing teams, developing programs, and building presence in the climate change domain. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in climate policy, international law, or public policy.
