English Language Specialist Job Description

 

This role involves reviewing and editing English language content for grammar, punctuation, style, and tone. The successful candidate will have excellent command of English grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, as well as strong editing and proofreading skills.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Content Review and Editing: Review and edit English language content to ensure it meets high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with content creators, annotators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement language guidelines and best practices.
  • Quality Assessment: Assess the quality of language outputs, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and providing detailed feedback using established rubrics.
  • Cultural Insights: Provide cultural insights to ensure content resonates with target audiences.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
  • Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in English.
  • Experience: Proven experience in content creation, annotation, editing, or a similar role.

 

This is a part-time position requiring 25-30 hours per week. Only C1 & C2 scoring candidates in the Versant test are eligible.
