Job Title: Snipe-IT Developer

A Snipe-IT Developer is responsible for the implementation, customization, and ongoing maintenance of Snipe-IT, an open-source IT asset management system. This role involves managing and improving the software to help organizations track and manage hardware, software licenses, and other assets effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation & Setup: Install, configure, and deploy the Snipe-IT system to meet the organization's asset management needs.
  • Customization & Development: Customize Snipe-IT features and functionalities based on organizational requirements, including fields, asset statuses, and workflows.
  • Ongoing Maintenance & Support: Maintain and update the Snipe-IT system, including regular software upgrades, security patches, and backups.
  • Data Management: Oversee the migration and import of asset data into Snipe-IT from other systems or spreadsheets.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all customizations, configurations, and workflows within the Snipe-IT system.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Asset Management Knowledge: Understanding of IT asset management best practices, including inventory management, software license management, and hardware lifecycle tracking.
  • Problem-Solving & Debugging Skills: Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within Snipe-IT and its related systems.
