Software Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to design, develop, and maintain software systems. As a software engineer, you will utilize your expertise in requirements analysis, programming languages, and software development methodologies to create innovative solutions.

You will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and delivery leads to design systems, determine functional and non-functional needs, and implement solutions accordingly.

You should be ready to work independently as well as in a team. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and innovation in the field of software engineering.

  • Mentor peers and provide help in defining standards and identifying reusable code or application modules.
  • Create and document detailed designs for custom software applications or components.
  • Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor moderately complex applications and software configurations.
  • Elicit requirements for systems and software life cycle working practices and automation.
  • Prepare design options for the working environment of methods, procedures, techniques, tools, and people.

You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to the development of solution architectures in specific business areas.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related technology stream.
  • 7 years of hands-on experience working with technologies such as HTML, CSS, REST API, HTTP, SQL, and Mongo DB, at least one programming language from our supported stack (Pyspark, Node, React, Java, Python), and AWS services like Glue, Lambda, and other AWS data services.
  • Familiarity with modern product development practices - Agile, Scrum, test-driven development, UX, design thinking, and DevOps practices (Git, Docker, infrastructure as code, observability, continuous integration, continuous deployment - CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of data processing frameworks, distributed computing, and data security and compliance with in cloud.
