Job Overview:

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Financial Planning Specialist to support our operational project teams financially throughout the life cycle of a project.

This position will provide financial guidance and expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential financial risks.

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for projects.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models and dashboards to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify gaps, changes in scope, and other discrepancies.
  • Review work orders and change order budgets to identify out-of-scope activities.
  • Assist in preparing contract documents, including statements of work and change orders.
  • Work with the finance team to provide support for financial reporting and general ledger functions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges that impact project success.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with project teams to implement process improvements and optimize financial performance.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the preparation and review of contract documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate financial information and recommendations to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, proficiency in financial software and systems.
