Senior Payroll Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll, including collecting timesheet data, calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions.
  • Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Manage year-end activity and client queries over the phone and via email.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field, or an MBA.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Desired Competencies:

  • Documentation and Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with payroll software.
  • Reliability and honesty.
  • Ability to work based on shift timings.
  • Multi-country payroll and taxation knowledge.

A strong problem-solving and communication skillset is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
