Payroll Specialist

Job Description:

Our organization seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll functions, including data analysis, employee support, and accurate processing of payroll information. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of Dayforce Payroll and Workday HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of payroll transactions and employee data;
  • Support all payroll functions and programs impacting employees, serving as a resource for the employee population;
  • Responsible for complete and accurate processing of employee information, including new hires, terminations, tax and payment election setup, ongoing and one-time earning and deduction processing, garnishment/support order processing;
  • Responsible for the accuracy of payroll production, researching and adjusting wages and/or taxes;
  • Accurate update of the employee payroll database in compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements;
  • Rigorous quality checks on payroll data to ensure accuracy and avoid unnecessary re-work;
  • Support the delivery of payroll services to agreed timelines;
  • Implementation of changes to policies and procedures on issues within own area, ensuring a consistent approach across the organization;
