Job Title:
Senior AWS Redshift Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, optimizing, and scaling AWS Redshift environments for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift. They will be able to design and implement operational excellence best practices, establish key performance indicators, and analyze and optimize query performance.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and consultative skills, enabling them to clearly articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database administration, with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations
  • Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals: table design (Distribution and Sort Keys), WLM tuning, vacuum operations, concurrency scaling
  • Ability to develop and implement operational best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting)
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills
