Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Cost Optimization and Financial Planning

  • Analyze cloud usage to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement policies for budget control and cost management.
  • Establish forecasting models to predict cloud resource utilization and costs.

Cloud Resource Management Strategy

  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize resource allocation and right-size infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud consumption metrics to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Identify opportunities for reserved instance purchases and other cost-saving measures.

Business Intelligence and Reporting

  • Create detailed financial reports and dashboards on cloud usage and costs.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate chargeback and showback models for business units.

Collaboration and Governance Framework

  • Partner with procurement teams to negotiate vendor contracts and optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cost-efficient architectures and best practices.
  • Define and implement FinOps standards, policies, and procedures.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to financial operations.
