About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for helping our clients optimize their cloud costs, improve cloud reliability, and adopt next-generation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize cloud subscriptions and resources to ensure cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using cloud cost management data and exports.
  • Implement and manage cloud-native dashboards (cloud advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  • Lead large-scale cloud migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.
  • Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of cloud services.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized cloud solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in cloud FinOps and cost optimization.
  • Strong expertise across cloud services (VMs, blob storage, SQL DB, AKS, functions, Azure OpenAI).
  • Hands-on with cloud cost management, advisor, budgets.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell/Python scripting for automation.
  • Experience conducting cloud well-architected framework reviews.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with third-party FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera One, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud governance and compliance (policies, blueprints, management groups).
  • Familiarity with cloud DevOps, GitHub actions, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Certifications: cloud solutions architect expert, cloud administrator, cloud DevOps engineer expert, or equivalent.

This role requires a seasoned professional with deep cloud expertise, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should be currently working with an MSP and delivering cloud optimization services to multiple customers. Within the cloud optimization area, they should demonstrate experience with cloud migration and cloud optimization.
