Key Responsibilities:

Designing and synthesizing organic compounds is a key part of this role. You will conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to drive innovation and advance research goals.

This position involves various responsibilities including:

  • Developing and executing synthesis routes for target compounds
  • Purifying and characterizing organic molecules using analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges
  • Maintaining accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations
  • Staying current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies
  • FOLLOWING safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or a related field, or exceptional ability
  • 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred
  • Nice to have: Master's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or a related field
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques
  • Hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research
