Job Description

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment and maintenance of OpenStack environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop scalable solutions.

This role requires expertise in OpenStack components, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies. You will work closely with colleagues to design and implement cloud-native solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deploy OpenStack Environments: Use Kolla-Ansible and TripleO to configure and manage OpenStack infrastructure.
  • Maintain Ceph Storage Clusters: Ensure high availability and optimal performance of block, file, and object storage.
  • Manage Storage Resources: Manage Cinder, Manila, and equivalent object storage systems.
  • Optimize OpenStack Performance: Maintain and optimize control plane and compute resources for reliability and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong technical skills in OpenStack, Linux, and containerization technologies are required. A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience with OpenStack is necessary. Proficiency in Ansible and scripting languages like Python and Bash is also required.

Additional qualifications include relevant experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. RHCE certification is highly desirable.
