Job Title:

Distribution Channel Manager

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of our mass retail distribution strategy across various regions.

  • Formulate and implement a circle-wide distribution plan, in collaboration with the Sales Director.
  • Achieve business objectives by driving growth in terms of revenue and market share, while adhering to quality standards and corporate policies.
  • Establish an intelligence-gathering mechanism to stay informed about market trends and competitor activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:

  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy for the circle, aiming to maximize profitability through the distribution channel.
  • Set targets for the distribution channel, covering both business and distribution KPIs (Gross, GAS, Distribution UAO, DURO, Revenue etc).
  • Develop a channel expansion strategy by evaluating distribution coverage, penetration, and performance.

Operational:

  • Meet revenue targets for all products across brands within the distribution channel.
  • Achieve distribution network expansion targets by appointing and monitoring partners in new and existing areas.
  • Provide input to the Sales Director on incentive plans for channel partners and monitor their implementation.

Developmental:

  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend training programs or interventions for distribution staff.
  • Collaborate with the SEM team to develop training programs for internal sales teams and distributors for new products and initiatives.

Core Competencies:

  • 8-10 years of experience in distribution roles within Telecom/FMCG/Mass Retail industries.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-geography teams to drive best practices.
  • Familiarity with distribution planning and channel strategy implementation.
