Job Title: System Automation Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled System Automation Specialist who can drive our transformation in application development, infrastructure, and security through automation.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless application availability, scalability, and operational efficiency while maintaining top-notch security.

  • Bridge gaps between core infrastructure, security, and development teams.
  • Ensure end-to-end availability, performance, and capacity of applications and their infrastructure.
  • Provide 24/7 infrastructure and application support, building processes, and documenting tribal knowledge.
  • Manage application deployment on AWS ECS platforms and automate development and release processes.
  • Create, manage, and maintain data stores and data platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Orient new applications towards production readiness through thorough reviews.
  • Oversee Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Error Budgets, Alerts, and perform root cause analysis for production errors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • 4-6 years of experience managing large-scale microservices and infrastructure with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, deploying containerized environments using Docker/ECS, and working with Linux administration.
  • Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, GRPC, Routing, Load Balancing, and expertise in GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
