Job Overview

The Assistant Manager role plays a pivotal part in the company's success by overseeing a team of professionals and providing high-quality risk assessments. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for managing a dynamic team, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and maintaining exposure databases with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Direct and manage a team of 5-6 members to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments of individual accounts or portfolios to identify potential areas of concern.
  • Exposure Data Management: Ensure exposure databases are accurate and up-to-date, enhancing efficiency through continuous evaluation and improvement of the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process.
  • Support Underwriters: Provide support to underwriters with queries and exposure movement year over year.
  • Process Enhancement: Contribute to the enhancement and improvement of business processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Cat modelling/Treaty modelling with insurance/reinsurance background.
  • Proficiency in AIR touchstone, SQL, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel/VBA programming language skills and strong team management skills.
