Embedded Systems Engineer

The primary role of this position is to develop, validate, and debug firmware for embedded systems. This includes driving the design, development, and validation of safety-critical systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop system software and ecosystem strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to integrate system components.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware to ensure compliance with IEC 61508/61511 standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for firmware and system architecture.
Required Skills:
  • Extensive experience in embedded systems development, including programming languages such as C and assembly.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like I2C, SPI, MODBUS, and Profi/Fieldbus.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, including 16-bit, 32-bit, and Freescale processors.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations, including IEC 61508/61511.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
