Job Title: Video Production Coordinator

Description:

A dynamic and skilled production assistant is required to support film and video production teams in planning, execution, and delivery of projects.

  • The ideal candidate will assist faculty and students in their creative projects, ensuring smooth production processes and guiding them with industry-standard practices.
  1. Support on-set activities, including logistics, equipment handling, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance on camera operations, lighting, and sound setup.
  1. Help manage and maintain production equipment, ensure availability and functionality.
  • Offer video editing support using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  1. Guide students in basic editing techniques, media management, and storytelling through visuals.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during production and post-production.
  1. Ensure productions follow timelines and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty to design practical learning experiences for students.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of filmmaking production workflows.
  1. Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Hands-on experience with cameras, audio equipment, and lighting.
  1. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Physically fit to handle the rigors of film production and related intensive jobs.
  1. Self-starter, and the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Strong communication and mentoring ability for working with students.
  1. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying production needs and schedules.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  1. 3–5 years of professional experience in film/video production.
  • Proven track record in assisting with film shoots and editing projects.
  1. Prior experience in an academic or training environment is a plus.
