Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable software platforms that enable the provisioning and managing of all services in a safe, reliable, and stable manner.

This role requires a strong belief in automating DevOps and SRE aspects such as infrastructure provisioning, deployment, observability, incident lifecycle, and uptime SLA. You will work closely with development teams throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale. Coaching team's SRE best practices is also an essential part of this role.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

  1. Working with Kubernetes clusters hosted in AWS and Azure.
  2. Using InfrastructureAsCode tooling like Terraform and Ansible to manage cloud resources.
  3. Troubleshooting priority incidents, facilitating blameless post-mortems, and ensuring permanent closure of incidents.
  4. Performing analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.
  5. Blding and driving adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.
  6. Designing automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions.
  7. Designing, coding, testing, and delivering software to automate manual operational work. Owning your tools and services end-to-end.
  8. Performance and cost optimization for infrastructure.
  9. Being part of an on-call rotation for the team's tooling and 24x7 support coverage as needed.

The Must-Haves:

  1. Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar.
  2. 3+ years of professional experience.
  3. Experience with administering Kubernetes clusters.
  4. Experience with managing Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  5. Direct production operations experience in a cloud environment.
  6. Experience contributing to technology and product strategy.
  7. Experience leading capability-building initiatives across diverse areas such as infrastructure and operations automation, observability, incident management, architecting HA systems, and other core engineering.
  8. Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiency and transparency of a growing engineering organization.
