As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the technical architecture of our application, utilizing your expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL to ensure seamless data processing and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a data engineer, with a strong background in Python, PySpark, and SQL. Experience with GCP and streaming analytics is highly desired, as is familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the technical architecture of our application
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code using Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Work closely with business partners to identify key performance indicators and develop strategies to improve data-driven decision making
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues with data processing and storage

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
  • Strong background in Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Experience with GCP and streaming analytics
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar

Nice to Have:

  • Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in refrigeration units, HVAC systems, controllers, and sensors
  • Ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
